## Overview

TSQ is a binary file that stores the time sequence data of sprite animations created and edited by the PlayStation sprite editor. It has a short header followed by the sequence data. The sequence entries have the same layout as the SEQUENCE block of an [ANM](/formats/anm/) file.[^ff322][^ff317]

## HEADER

The header is one word:[^ff322]

Table: TSQ header

| Bits | Field | Contents |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 0..7 | ID | 0x24 |
| 8..15 | VERSION | 0x01 |
| 16..31 | NSEQUENCE | Sequence data count |

## SEQUENCE

Sequence data gives the hot spot coordinates of each frame together with its display time and its sprite group number. Each entry is two words, and version 0 has no ATTR field.[^ff322]

Table: TSQ sequence entry

| Word | Bits | Field | Contents |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 0 | 0..15 | SprGpNo | Number of the sprite group to be displayed |
| 0 | 16..23 | TIME | Display time |
| 0 | 24..31 | ATTR | Attribute (user defined) |
| 1 | 0..15 | X | X coordinate of the hot spot |
| 1 | 16..31 | Y | Y coordinate of the hot spot |
